SMES

SMEs are at the heart of CimArk's activities. They can count on a reliable, solutions-oriented partner to support them in their innovation drive.

Start-up

At CimArk, young companies are supported by our experienced and open-minded team. Several dozen start-ups, some of which regularly feature in the Swiss Top100, are supported by CimArk every year.

Industries

CimArk also collaborates with large companies with more than 250 employees. This is particularly the case with industry in connection with, for example, aluminum, chemistry or biotechnologies.

Innovation networks

CimArk has an extensive network in Valais, in Switzerland and abroad. CimArk is the only Business Innovation Center in Switzerland affiliated to the EBN network. We are also affiliated to the French innovation network Retis. In French-speaking Switzerland, CimArk is the cantonal branch of the platinn innovation network, and in Valais we are a partner of Promotion économique Valais and a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Research

Research institutes are undeniable sources of innovation. CimArk regularly collaborates with the main research institutes in Valais and Switzerland (HES-SO, EPFL, Idiap, CRR, etc.).

Institutions

CimArk implements innovation and business support programmes on behalf of public institutions (Confederation, cantons, municipalities).

Support initiatives

In response to the needs of the economy, researchers, institutional bodies and our partners (see above), CimArk has always been able to provide concrete, solution-oriented answers. These responses can take the form of simple expertise, but can also take the form of more structured initiatives.

Here are just a few examples of current initiatives that CimArk is helping to develop on a daily basis. Always with a view to promoting regional and local economic development.

The Ark Foundation

Thanks to The Ark, you, as an entrepreneur or researcher, can obtain the human and financial resources to set up innovation projects that will benefit the Valais economy. CimArk is the operational arm and main initiator.

ProKilowatt

Through this program of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), you can finance part of your company's investment in electricity efficiency. CimArk manages ProKilowatt on behalf of the SFOE on a daily basis.

Digitourism

Launched for the first time in the midst of the Covid wave, the Digitourism program supports digitalization in tourism businesses, with the help of digital specialists. CimArk runs this multi-year program on behalf of the Service de l'économie, du tourisme et de l'innovation du Canton du Valais.

CleantechAlps

CleantechAlps provides networking and visibility for cleantech players in French-speaking Switzerland, mainly start-ups, SMEs and related industries. CimArk is developing this platform on behalf of ARI-SO.

Swiss Digital Health

In recent years, digitalization has affected all areas of healthcare. To give visibility to Swiss and Valaisan initiatives in the healthcare sector, the Swiss Digital Health association was created. It offers thematic watch activities and organizes meetings within the national healthcare network. CimArk is at the origin of this initiative.

S.M.A.R.T Confluence

How can Valais players in the healthcare and digitalization sectors be brought together? To answer this question, CimArk has initiated and developed this discussion and exchange platform, at the service of companies in the health and sports sectors.

Phytosphere Swiss Lab

Some cosmetics entrepreneurs wanted expertise and support to extract certain active ingredients from alpine plants or create cosmetics prototypes and small series. In 2015, CimArk launched the Phytosphere laboratory, which is now available to support your cosmetics projects.

Swiss Biotech Center

The mission of the Swiss Biotech Center is to produce small series of biological drugs in a cGMP (cleanroom) environment, and to carry out projects in the life sciences. This pre-industrialization platform, initiated by CimArk, fills a gap in the life sciences value chain in French-speaking Switzerland and accelerates the clinical production of biopharmaceutical products.

PRISM

PRISM stands for "Programme de mise en Réseau, d'Innovation et de Soutien aux Métiers créatifs" and is a cantonal development programme initiated in 2024 and implemented by CimArk. It aims to support and boost the Valais' creative and cultural industries, including a variety of fields such as the entertainment industry, digital creation, film and design. PRISM fosters innovation and collaboration by positioning itself as a strategic partner to support players in the creative economy in their entrepreneurial and business development.

Technology Park in Valais

Since 2003, CimArk has been contributing to the development of a technology park in the Valais, home to research institutes, start-ups, SMEs, industries and sometimes even schools. The idea is to foster innovation by grouping players together in a single location. There are currently seven technology sites in Valais: BioArk (Viège and Monthey - Life sciences), Swiss Digital Center (Sierre - Digitalization), Campus Energypolis (Sion - Energy, health and environment) - SpArk (Sion - Health, sport and performance), EnovArk (Sion, Energy), PhytoArk (Conthey - Natural ingredients), IdeArk (Martigny - Human/machine interaction), BlueArk (Entremont - Water management).
